This paper documents the findings and discussions from the recent UAV event hosted by the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems association (UAVSA) and Resource Group. UAVSA are a trade association representing all UK UAS interests and have held a number of workshops over the past few years, with the aim of collaborating and collating knowledge and best practice for the development of both
ground controlled and autonomous UAV. Although the industry is relatively new, the association has a strong membership and has forged good working relationships with many leading UAV exponents in the aerospace arena.
Resource Group is an international supplier of safety critical systems and engineering services, specialising in software development and certification, manufacture engineering and flight operations. The latest workshop focused on UAV certification and operational issues and included workshops and seminars from industry UAV experts.
