Fixed Price Work

We have performed offload work packages for clients within the aerospace, rail , defence &  automotive industries covering engineering disciplines from safety analysis, system design, software development and test, mechanical and product design, feasibility studies and consultancy work.

We take on fixed price work based on defined specifications and processes. Where these can be defined up front a fixed price can be given. Where the definition is not clear we work on a time and materials basis until the scope is defined and then give a fixed price against the scope/ This addresses the needs of our client to get the project moving quickly but ensures that the cost is defined as soon as reasonably possible.

We work with the client to manage inputs to stay on track. We identify risks to the project based on the availability of inputs on an on-going process. This means we can advise the client of risks and impact of incomplete or insufficient inputs. We work in partnership with the client to meet end dates so if inputs are missing we re-plan to fit around the client.

Our quality management system defines processes for project management, risk control and mitigation, amongst many others and these processes are tailored by the Project Quality Plan to be appropriate for the clients project needs.

Example

Fast Response Unit Test Programme
A team of 20 engineers worked on a short duration project to help the client meet a certification date. The project was at very short notice as the client was waiting for confirmation as to whether the work was required or not. This team performed unit test work on 400 items with a 5 week turnaround time. The client is an on-going client with work packages running through the year. At a peak the team have 45 engineers running for 5 months ramping down to a 3 month gap between projects.
